How SecondBrain handles your data.

SecondBrain ("we", "our", or "the app") is an AI-powered note-taking assistant for iOS. Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Data We Collect

We collect only the data necessary to provide the app's features:

  • Account information, your email address and display name, collected during sign-up via Google, Apple, or email and password authentication.
  • User-generated content, the notes, folders, summaries, and calendar events you create within the app.
  • Voice recordings, audio you record is processed in real time to create notes. Recordings are sent to Google Gemini for transcription and are not permanently stored on our servers.
  • Timezone, used to correctly schedule calendar events.

2. How We Use Your Data

  • AI processing, your text and audio are sent to Google Gemini to generate notes, summaries, and calendar events. Your data is processed in real time and is not used to train AI models.
  • Storage, your notes, folders, and calendar events are stored in a Supabase PostgreSQL database, isolated by user account via Row-Level Security (RLS).
  • Authentication, we use Supabase Auth with Google OAuth and Apple Sign-In to securely manage your account.

3. Third-Party Services

We rely on the following services to operate the app:

  • Google Gemini, AI processing of voice and text.
  • Supabase, database, authentication, and backend functions.
  • Google OAuth / Apple Sign-In, secure authentication.

Each service processes data in accordance with its own privacy policy.

4. What We Do NOT Collect

  • We do not track you across apps or websites.
  • We do not use analytics or advertising SDKs.
  • We do not sell, share, or monetize your data in any way.

5. Data Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Database access is enforced by Row-Level Security policies, meaning each user can only access their own data. Authentication tokens are managed securely by Supabase Auth.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is retained for as long as you maintain an active account. You may delete your entire account and all associated data at any time from within the app (Settings, then Delete Account). Deletion is immediate and irreversible. All notes, folders, calendar events, and account information are permanently removed.

7. Children's Privacy

SecondBrain is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

1. Dati che raccogliamo

Raccogliamo solo i dati necessari a far funzionare l'app:

  • Informazioni dell'account, indirizzo email e nome visualizzato, raccolti durante la registrazione con Google, Apple oppure email e password.
  • Contenuti che crei, le note, le cartelle, i riassunti e gli eventi di calendario che crei nell'app.
  • Registrazioni vocali, l'audio che registri viene elaborato in tempo reale per creare le note. Le registrazioni vengono inviate a Google Gemini per la trascrizione e non vengono conservate in modo permanente sui nostri server.
  • Fuso orario, usato per programmare correttamente gli eventi di calendario.

2. Come usiamo i tuoi dati

  • Elaborazione AI, il tuo testo e il tuo audio vengono inviati a Google Gemini per generare note, riassunti ed eventi. I dati sono elaborati in tempo reale e non vengono usati per addestrare modelli di AI.
  • Archiviazione, note, cartelle ed eventi sono salvati in un database PostgreSQL su Supabase, isolati per account tramite Row-Level Security (RLS).
  • Autenticazione, usiamo Supabase Auth con Google OAuth e Apple Sign-In per gestire il tuo account in sicurezza.

3. Servizi di terze parti

Per far funzionare l'app ci appoggiamo a questi servizi:

  • Google Gemini, elaborazione AI di voce e testo.
  • Supabase, database, autenticazione e funzioni di backend.
  • Google OAuth / Apple Sign-In, autenticazione sicura.

Ogni servizio tratta i dati secondo la propria informativa sulla privacy.

4. Cosa NON raccogliamo

  • Non ti tracciamo tra app e siti.
  • Non usiamo SDK di analisi o pubblicità.
  • Non vendiamo, condividiamo o monetizziamo i tuoi dati in alcun modo.

5. Sicurezza dei dati

Tutti i dati viaggiano su HTTPS. L'accesso al database è regolato da policy di Row-Level Security, quindi ogni utente può accedere solo ai propri dati. I token di autenticazione sono gestiti in sicurezza da Supabase Auth.

6. Conservazione e cancellazione

I tuoi dati restano finché mantieni un account attivo. Puoi cancellare l'intero account e tutti i dati associati in qualsiasi momento dall'app (Impostazioni, poi Elimina account). La cancellazione è immediata e irreversibile. Note, cartelle, eventi e informazioni dell'account vengono rimossi in modo permanente.

7. Privacy dei minori

SecondBrain non è pensato per bambini sotto i 13 anni. Non raccogliamo consapevolmente dati personali dei minori.

3. User Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for all content you create, record, or store in SecondBrain.
  • You must not use the app for any unlawful purpose.
  • You are solely responsible for how you use AI-generated content.

4. Account & Data

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You may delete your account at any time, which permanently removes all associated data.

5. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of all content you create in SecondBrain. We do not claim any rights over your notes, recordings, or other user-generated content.

6. Limitation of Liability

SecondBrain is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from the use of the app or reliance on AI-generated content, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time.

What is SecondBrain?

SecondBrain is an AI-powered note-taking assistant that turns your voice recordings and text into organized notes, summaries, and calendar events.

How does the shared memory work?

Connect Claude, ChatGPT or another assistant to SecondBrain, and they all read and write one memory, your own notes. Tell it once and every assistant remembers it, in the next chat and on another device. It is a Pro feature.

Is my data safe?

Yes. All data is encrypted in transit, stored in an isolated database, and never shared or sold. We do not use analytics or tracking.

How do I delete my account?

Open the app, go to Settings, then Delete Account. This permanently removes all your data. See the Account Deletion page for details.

Does SecondBrain use my data to train AI?

No. Your data is processed in real time by Google Gemini and is not used for model training.

Is SecondBrain available on Android?

Yes. SecondBrain is live on Google Play, alongside the iPhone app on the App Store.

I miei dati sono al sicuro?

Sì. Tutti i dati sono crittografati in transito, salvati in un database isolato e mai condivisi o venduti. Non usiamo analisi né tracciamento.

Come elimino il mio account?

Apri l'app, vai su Impostazioni, poi Elimina account. Questo rimuove in modo permanente tutti i tuoi dati. Vedi la pagina Eliminazione account per i dettagli.

SecondBrain usa i miei dati per addestrare l'AI?

No. I tuoi dati sono elaborati in tempo reale da Google Gemini e non sono usati per addestrare i modelli.

How to permanently delete your account and data.

How to delete your account

You can permanently delete your SecondBrain account and all associated data directly from the app:

  1. Open SecondBrain on your device.
  2. Navigate to Settings (gear icon).
  3. Scroll down and tap Delete Account.
  4. Confirm the deletion when prompted.
What gets deleted

Account deletion is immediate and irreversible. The following data is permanently removed:

  • Your account and authentication credentials
  • All notes and folders
  • All summaries and generated content
  • All calendar events created within SecondBrain
  • Display name and user settings

No data is retained after deletion. There is no recovery option.

If you're unable to access the app and need to delete your account, contact us at [email protected] and we will process the deletion for you.

Puoi eliminare in modo permanente il tuo account SecondBrain e tutti i dati associati direttamente dall'app:

  1. Apri SecondBrain sul tuo dispositivo.
  2. Vai su Impostazioni (icona dell'ingranaggio).
  3. Scorri in basso e tocca Elimina account.
  4. Conferma l'eliminazione quando richiesto.
Cosa viene eliminato

L'eliminazione dell'account è immediata e irreversibile. Vengono rimossi in modo permanente i seguenti dati:

  • Il tuo account e le credenziali di autenticazione
  • Tutte le note e le cartelle
  • Tutti i riassunti e i contenuti generati
  • Tutti gli eventi di calendario creati in SecondBrain
  • Nome visualizzato e impostazioni utente

Nessun dato viene conservato dopo l'eliminazione. Non c'è possibilità di recupero.
